●MESSAGE

We will be hosting an auction to raise humanitarian funds for the people in Gaza.

For the last nine months, the horrific situation in Gaza has continued. Over 37,396* people have been killed in the attacks by the Israeli army, of which 70% are women and children.

There are currently about 2,000,000 people displaced and with not enough supplies arriving, people are starved. The children who are surviving also have physical and psychological care and long-term support will continue to be necessary.

Given this situation, people around the world from many different backgrounds have come together to provide humanitarian aid. Thinking about what I can do as an artist in Japan, I decided to plan an auction.

I believe that the work of expressing as an artist is to give life and one that makes the life that is given to us shine. Is this not the opposite of having our lives be taken away?

All children should be protected. Each and every child has someone they love and someone who loves them. From the bottom of my heart, I want them all to live.

I reached out to artists that I respect. This auction is a collection of all of our hopes and wishes. I hope for these wishes to come true.

Miu Sakamoto
